Vision Statement

Our vision is to be Philadelphia's trusted leader in orofacial myofunctional therapy, transforming lives through improved oral health, communication, and feeding. By advancing education for speech-language pathologists and prioritizing collaborative care, we aim to create a network of professionals who work together to deliver exceptional, integrated care for individuals and families throughout the city and beyond.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower individuals in the Philadelphia community to achieve optimal speech, feeding, and oral function through individualized evidence-based therapy for orofacial myofunctional disorders. We are dedicated to fostering collaborative team care by working closely with other healthcare professionals and specialists to deliver holistic, patient-centered solutions. Additionally, we strive to equip speech-language pathologists with the skills and knowledge to integrate myofunctional therapy into their practices, enhancing outcomes across the region.

Regina is a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to transforming lives through improved oral health, communication, and feeding. She founded Practical Speech LLC to provide therapy that addresses the entire oral system—breathing, eating, and speaking—delivering personalized, integrated care for individuals and families in Philadelphia.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013, Regina gained extensive experience working with children and adults in early intervention and public schools in both Chicago and Philadelphia.

Regina is one of the few members of the International Association of Orofacial Myology in Philadelphia, reflecting her expertise in orofacial myofunctional therapy. She has completed specialized training in breathing retraining for sleep apnea, therapy for tethered oral tissues, hands-on muscle therapies and motor speech disorders. Regina is passionate about continuous learning, regularly taking courses and applying the latest techniques in her therapy sessions.

Committed to advancing the field, Regina actively participates in speech therapy study groups and fosters collaboration among professionals to ensure exceptional care. She prioritizes evidence-based practices and is dedicated to helping her clients reach their full potential.

Regina’s approach is rooted in the belief that integrated, collaborative care can create meaningful and lasting improvements in the lives of the individuals and families she serves.

At Practical Speech, we believe in customizing therapy to our patient's  specific needs. That is why we offer multiple location options and even come to your home. We get a lot of questions about what the course of therapy looks like - and the truth is, it's different for every patient! Some of the components will be the same for every patient, but after the initial evaluation and first follow-up appointments, we closely monitor progress. Although we are confident in our approach taking less time than traditional therapy, some of our patients benefit from a therapy break, especially when undergoing orthodontic work or other medical treatments. We are happy to support you and your family's needs whatever season you are in!
